Winter: The Season That Invites You To Reset

January in the North: Closed for Winter, Open Again in Spring

When January settles in around here, it doesn’t just bring cold — it brings the real cold. Snowdrifts, quiet roads, frozen windows, and the kind of weather that makes you grateful for good boots and a hot cup of coffee.

That’s why Bearly Hyde N' Cabin Used Books & Gifts is tucked in for the season.

We are officially closed for the winter and will reopen in the spring, when the snow melts, the roads soften, and cabin weather turns back into browsing weather.

You could say we’re hibernating right along with the bears 🐻 — resting, recharging, and dreaming of warmer days.

But we won’t be idle…

This winter we’re working on giving the shop a fresh new look:

📚 More books
🪵 More coziness
🐻 More of that cabin charm you love

Think warmer, snugger, and even better for wandering the shelves and getting lost in a good story.

Still want to shop with us this winter?

You can find our mini bookstore inside Pickers Dream in Gouverneur!

With nearly 70 vendors, it’s the perfect place to pick up a good book and discover all kinds of other great treasures while you’re there.

Winter is for slowing down — for reading the books you already brought home, stacking new stories on your nightstand, and letting the world be quiet for a while. We’ll be using these months to rest, refresh, and get everything ready for spring.

Until then:

❄️ Stay warm
📚 Read something wonderful
🌱 And we’ll see you when spring finds its way back
